WHAT IS VETERANS HOME CARE?

Veterans are able to receive Home Care services like live in Care, just like anyone else. Unfortunately, there are many out there who are unaware of their options.

Veterans can live in a rented room or apartment of their own. There are some that live in a living facility like shared living spaces, like a dining room. In some facilities, the Veteran could have their own kitchen or kitchenette. In these places, there is often a trained caregiver on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This person can help the Veteran with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing and getting dressed).

Live In Care For Veterans

Live In Carers provide all of the needs and requirements that you would get with living in a care home or assisted living facility.

Veterans Long Term Care Benefits

The Veterans Aid & Attendance Pensions Benefit

Not many people are aware of the Veterans Aid & Attendance Pensions Benefit which could help people who have no idea that the federal government guarantees veterans and their spouses some long-term care assistance.

Only 5 percent of these assistance funds are even applied for, because people simply do not know about the program. And for that reason, we want to spread the word to those Americans who could really use this well-earned long-term care benefit.

The Veterans Aid & Attendance Pension Benefit, or “A&A benefit,” provides up to $1,794 per month to a veteran, $1,153 to a surviving spouse or $2,127 to a couple. The money, which is tax-free, can be used for in-home care, board and care, an assisted living community or a private-pay nursing home.
